Introducing The Integrated Cooperative Network: A Vision

Introduction

This is the vision that I’ve got for provide.io so far. It’s what I’d like the team we build to work to strategizing, planning, and realizing.

I think it’s so cheesy to have to use “™” everywhere. But… I think trademarking the Integrated Cooperative Network™ will enable the network to be protected from imitation, brand dilution, and substandard implementation, and assessment of, the new type of entities provide.io, and the Integrated Cooperative Network™ are meant to be.

The Vision

provide.io (PIO), a new Oregon Based Limited Liability Company, is at the very beginning stages of researching, designing, deploying, and supporting, comprehensive scalable systems, and technologies, that will be used to incubate the Integrated Cooperative Network™, or ICN.

provide.io, and the ICN, are democratic entities. They will leverage a combination of one person, one vote, and a ranked/weighted, systems.

The ICN is an ecosystem of cellular entities. The Internal Orderings of the ICN will be researched, designed, and applied by, and to, provide.io. Polycentric Governmental, and Organizational, best practices will be considered. Strategies for the prevention, and mitigation, of bad actors hijacking ICN will be considered.

PIO is focusing on incubating the ICN, and testing the new models, systems, and technologies, required to successful deploy, and support, a resilient democratic businesses, in Portland, Oregon.

provide.io is the incubator, and initial cell, that is bootstrapping the ICN. PIO is functioning as the Nucleus of the Integrated Cooperative Network™.

Incubation of provide.io

provide.io is the incubator, and initial cell, that is bootstrapping the ICN. PIO is functioning as the Nucleus of the Integrated Cooperative Network™.

provide.io will assemble a leadership team of 5 through 9 entrepreneurial leaders in areas such law, economics, behavioral science, technology, and more. The leadership team will then review the current details of the provide.io strategy, negotiate on a strategy that aligns with the best practices that must be considered in the relevant domains that provide.io and the Integrated Cooperative Network™.

PIO is using versioned Operating Agreements to enable rapidly changing the structures of all the LLC entities within the ICN. This will enable rapidly iterating through the contractual conditions so that cells’ Internal Orderings are structured most efficiently for their location, size, and structure.

Incubation of the Integrated Cooperative Network️™

To bootstrap the ICN, PIO will form 3 cells, which are intentionally small, and localized, business entities.

One is managing financial connections - such as between Credit Unions, micro-loan, or crowdfunding, services.

One is managing property - such as any renting, leasing, or purchasing.

And one, or more, will consist of teams of service industry workers that specialize in a wide variety of industries, and specializations. Food, Tech Intellectual Property, Fiance, Project Management, and more.

PIO will provide the technology, and integration systems, required to form, and help with the deployment of, a Cellular Venture. Which is a connection between, and amongst, all the relevant cells required to create, and accomplish the goals agreed upon by, the new Cellular Unit.

Such as: the Financing Cell, with the Property Management Cell, with the new Cellular Unit. For this example we will discuss a Catering Cell, which is composed of: Produce Cells, Food Prep Cells, Property Management Cells, Contract Management Cells, Marketing Cells, etc.

Each Cellular Unit must have a minimum of 3 member owners, and must always have an odd number member owners

When the cells have been connected between each other, the new Catering Cell will be able be able to operate.

ICN and provide.io cultural considerations

The ICN™ will require technologies, and trainings, that provide, and promote socioemotional health. Such as mandatory fast-feedback psychoeducation, and individual/organizational assessment loops. This foster better emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and a shared language, to work better together over time.

We believe that the team of natural persons who form a Cellular Unit are forming a Long Term Relationship - a contractual marriage toward a shared goal - and need to have psychosocial, and socioemotional, support training, and systems, prematurely in place.

(En)forcing cohesion

provide.io, being the Nucleus, will own at least 50% voting rights of all Cells that have been successfully incubated. The member owners of the Cell then having the rest of the voting rights. The owners of each cell will then have the same privileges within provide.io, and the ICN.

A distributed, ranked/weighted, voting model will enable domain relevant systems experts to have more influence over a decision that is more relevant to their expertise. While allowing for someone in a completely different specialization, such as education, or entertainment, to vote on decisions which may have a systemic impact.

This will enable the SMEs to learn more about anomalous votes. Sometimes the best breakthroughs come through people outside of a groups expertise… 😉

We will use technologies, such as blockchain, DAOs, and smart contracts, to dramatically speed up the processes, and logistics management, that will be required to scale the ICN.

Technology will be created to manage the rebalancing of resources within the quilt of the ICN. A quilt composed of a flattened representations of the holographic nature of a Polycentrical-built organization. Assessment technology will be created which measures the performance, and systemic impacts, that Cellular Units may have upon the network - that quilt. If a Cell begins to become toxic - a piece of the quilt begins to rot - then a system will be in place to dismantle, and archive the Cell.

The distributed, decentralized, centralized nature of the Integrated Cooperative Network™, is designed to be a network of cells which are optimized to support the best working conditions required to facilitate the generation of major emergent discoveries, and resources, to improve humanity.
